'We only part to meet again'

If I remember rightly, I wrote something like "that is my very last blog entry...", six months ago and fortunately I was wrong.
So I definitely don't think that this is going to be my last blog entry now because I'm pretty sure that Australia will see me again some day in the future :)!

Before I'm getting sentmental, let me tell you about my last one and a half weeks.
The Saturday before last was Archie's 5th birthday, so the first thing in the morning was of course, opening presents :)! I got Spiderman Lego for him which we had to build straight away. So Casey and I spent all morning building Lego, which was actually fun. I really like bulding lego ;)! At Lunchtime we went to a club with the whole family to have lunch and celebrate Archie's birthday.
I can't believe Archie's Pirate Party for his 4th birthday is already a year ago and how much he has grown. I'm so happy that I got the chance to be with him at his birthday again this year. That really did mean a lot to me ♥!
After lunch we went home, so Olive could have a sleep, while we were building more Lego and later in the afternoon we went to the beach for a quick swim (not me), but it was quite windy.

On sunday we had to get up early to drive to Sydney, because we wanted to go to the city to have a look at a window of a shop where they had a big picture of Archie and also that video: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=320916321345430&set=vb.292274464134910&type=2&theater on a big screen. 
It was sooo impressive to see that video of him in the middle of the city and Olive really loved to watched it. She loved it more than Archie and even cried when we had to leave. Too cute :)!
After we have seen the video, we took the train to Bondi, where Archie had a Casting.

Afterwards we drove back to Newcastle and went to Tahnee's (Casey's sister) place in the afternoon to have a very nice dinner with the family :)!
On monday and tuesday last week I had Archie and Olive and we went to the library, baked gingerbread, went to the shops, to the park or played at home. I'm sooo going to miss doing all those fun things with kids... :(!

On wednesday we (Olive and I) had our girlsday. So we went to the shops to get some things, did some painting and went to the park.

Thursday Julie, Olive and I went to the beach and Archie had his first soccer training in the afternoon. After one hour running around and kicking the ball he was pretty exhausted but he really liked it :).

Later, we all went to the shops to get a suit for Shane, a bow-tie and a shirt for Archie and some pretty hair clips for Olive, because they went to a wedding last weekend.

So I spend last friday, saturday and sunday mainly at the beach, because there was not much else to do and fortunately the weather was really nice, so I enjoyed that and luckily I got a bit of a tan. Friday I went to the beach on my own and saturday and sunday Julie picked me up in the morning and I went to the beach with her. When I was at home, it was just too quite in that big house without the kids running around and I felt quite lonely. So I've decided I don't want to live on my own :D! If I move out, I definitely need somebody to move in together with me, it's just too boring and quiet otherwise ;).
Soo I was very happy that Casey, Shane and the kids came back sunday noon and we spent an hour at the beach together till Archie got sting by a blue bottle, which is apparently really really painful :(. Poor Archie, he was very brave!
Later in the day we had a nice barbecue and after that we went for a walk. Archie rode his bike without training wheels for the first time, so that was pretty exciting and he actually did really well :)! Just a little bit more practice and he might be able to ride his bike without training wheels by the end of the week. That would be so amazing ♥!

But then again, I don't want to think about the end of the week, because that means 'saying goodbye'.. again. And I hate saying goodbye.. I hate thinking about it and I hate the feelings that are related to it!

Monday was a very hot day and we spent a lot time at the park and in the afternoon Archie went to Rosi's school of Rock like every week.

Yesterday was already tuesday... I can't believe that it was my last day with both of them already! We had a really great day! We painted easter eggs, went to Marketown for a Milkshake and a Donut and also to the park in the afternoon :)! But it's just so hard to realise that I won't be here anymore next week and won't be able to do all the things with them..

Today Olive and I went to the beach in the morning and Olive absolutly loved it :)! She loves to play in the water, build sancastles and just play and tun around at the beach - so much fun ♥

I'm going to miss that....

 

After seven weeks here and only 4 days left before I'm going back to (freezing cold) Germany I am very happy to look back on a wonderful time.
Right from the moment I was back, I felt at home, even if it was Newcastle and not Sydney. I think the people around you making you feel at home, no matter where you are...

To get to spend another seven weeks with my wonderful australian family, after four months back in Germany was just amazing and I'm very grateful that I got the chance to come back. It was like I have never left.
This time it wasn't about being an Au Pair, it was just like visiting family and I really enjoyed spending so much time with them. They are such an important part of my life and they will always be.

It's hard to explain, but being here makes me feel needed and loved, especially by the kids, who are just so loving and adorable! I also love to have a responsibility and if I know I can help them, I'm more than happy to do that :). And I really hope, that I could help my family by being here. I think words can't explain how much I love those two gorgeous kids ♥...

Many people back in Germany, have asked me, how I feel about going back home, because last time it was very hard and I was quite devastated when I came back... So this time I actually feel prepared for what's happening, because I knew, I'll be here for only seven weeks and I already know how it is to come back home and how differnt my life will be.
But that doesn't mean, it's going to be easy... I'm going to miss everyone, being with the kids, cuddling and playing with them, my life, the lifestyle and the "easiness" of my life! At the moment I avoid to think about saying goodbye, because I can't imagine to be back in Germany from one day to the next. Ones I'm back I'll know how I feel, about being back, but at the moment I'm still here and try to enjoy the last days :)!


On the other side I look forward to see my friends and family in Germany. I really do :), even though I know Uni is going to be stressful the next semester!
I'm looking forward to go out with my friends and to catch up with my girls and all that sort of things ♥. :*

So of course it's all a bit confusing, but as I already said, I have to say goodbye for now but definitely not forever!

A weekend away ♥

Hey ihr Lieben,

da heute Freitag ist, ich nix zu tun habe, es regnet und ich schon eine Weile keinen Blogeintrag mehr geschrieben habe, dachte ich mir, ich widme mich dem mal :D!

Letzte Woche waren wir übers Wochenende, bzw. von Donnerstag bis Montag  in Queensland mit Caseys bester Freundin Lisa, ihrem Mann Spencer und den 4 Kindern Denby,Trieste,Xavier und Blaise. Wir sind also nach ein wenig Stress und Hektik bei den ganzen Vorbereitungen am Donnerstag losgefahren, direkt nachdem wir Archie aus der Preschool und Casey von der Arbeit abgeholt haben. Die Fahrt hat ca. 9 Stunden gedauert mit dem Stop zum Abendessen bei Mecces, das heißt wir sind gegen 12 Uhr nachts  (was durch die eine Stunde Zeitunterschied in Queensland aber erst 11 Uhr dort war) an unserem Haus direkt am Broadwater angekommen :)!
Da es bereits spät war sind wir dann auch alle direkt ins Bett gegangen und haben uns erst am nächsten Morgen alles ageschaut. 
Das Haus war der absolute Wahnsinn.. 5 Schlafzimmer, 4 Badezimmer, Heimkino, großes Wohnzimmer mit offenener Küche, einen Pool und eigenen Steg mit kleinem Privat"strand" und direkt am Wasser :)!

Am Freitag haben wir dann jedenfalls nicht sonderlich viel gemacht, denn mit 6 Kindern im Alter von 8 Wochen bis 5 Jahren ist schon ziemlich viel Leben im Haus ;)! Das Wetter war leider nicht sonderlich gut, sodass wir den Großteil des Tages im Haus verbracht haben und abends gabs dann Barbecue. 
Samstag waren wir in unterschiedlichen Freizeitparks, sprich die Männer waren mit Archie und Denby im Movieworld und Casey, Lisa und ich mit den restlichen Kids im Seaworld. 
Wir haben uns dort Eisbären, Pinguine, Haie, Fische und Dinosaurier (im "dinosaur world") angeschaut, Rochen angefasst und waren auf Karussels mit den Kids. Allzu lange waren wir allerdings nicht da, sodass wir leider die Delphinshow, die ich persönlich gerne gesehen hätte, nicht mehr sehen konnten, da die Kinder dann auch irgendwann müde wurden. Naja, trotzdem war es echt gut und das Wetter hat zum Glück auch mitgespielt :).

Da wir schon lange vor den Männern wieder zurück waren haben Casey und Lisa 2 Geburtstagstorten gebacken für Archie und Denby, da Denby am 6.03 Geburtstag hatte und Archie morgen Geburtstag hat und wir dort quasi zusammen die Geburtstage gefeiert haben. Die feiern hier Geburtstage auch manchmal vor, das ist irgendwie ganz normal :D!

Jedenfalls gab es dann hinterher noch Geschenke und Kuchen als alle wieder da waren :)!

Birthday boys ♥ "Happy Birthday"

Sonntag war dann nochmal entspannen am Pool angesagt (Ich war sogar im Pool :D), die Männer haben geangelt, die Kids im Sand gespielt &&&. 
Das Highlight war jedoch als die Männer abends einen riesen Krebs (Mudcrab) geangelt haben, gerade als ich runter zum Steg gegangen bin. Das war ziemlich aufregend, da Shane den Krebs fangen musste, weil der sich vom Haken gerissen hat und wieder zurück ins Wasser wollte. Nachdem er dann erst noch ganz stolz war, hatte er dann einen kleinen Kampf mit dem Krebs, der sich mit seiner Schere an seinem Finger gekrallt hat, er das Tier auf den Boden geschmissen hat &&&. Ziemlich aufregend alles, aber letztenendes ist das arme Ding im Gefrierfach und dann im Kochtopf gelandet... Lisa und ich waren ein wenig traumatisiert von dem ganzen Prozess, weil wir sowas noch nie mit angesehen haben, aber nunja... :D!

Montagmorgen ging es nachdem wir gepackt haben wieder zurück nach Newcastle! Auf dem Weg haben wir einen Stop gemacht an einem Pub direkt am Wasser und überall liefen "Lizards", also Echsen rum. Ich glaube da war eine komplette Drachenechsen-Familie...das war schon ziemlich beeindruckend, die so frei in der Natur zu sehen :)!
Die Rückfahrt hat sich ziemlich gezogen, da wir tagsüber gefahren sind und es war dann schön endlich gegen Abend wieder Zuhause zu sein. 

Am Dienstag war ich mit Archie und Olive einkaufen und im Park und am Mittwoch habe ich mit Olive gemalt, Archies Geschenk gekauft, ihr einen Milchshake gekauft und dann waren wir noch im Park :)!
Gestern war ich dann mit Julie (Casey's mum) und Olive morgens am Strand und mittags habe ich mit Olive Schokoladencookies gebacken, wobei ich mir ziemlich den Finger verbrannt habe...sodass ich den für mindestens 1 1/2 Stunden in kaltem Wasser hatte :D!

Es sind jetzt nur noch 2 Wochen, bis ich wieder zurück nach Deutschland fliege und meine Gefühle sind momentan ziemlich gemischt, denn einerseits hab ich das Gefühl meine Beziehung zu den Kids ist nochmal viel enger geworden als sie eh schon war, weil wir einfach unglaublich viel Zeit miteinander verbringen und andererseits freu ich mich auch schon wieder auf Zuhause und darauf wieder was mit meinen Freunden unternehmen zu können... 
Es wird definitv wieder hart werden, aber zumindest kann ich mich diesmal darauf einstellen!

Sooooo, ihr hört bestimmt nochmal von mir :)!

We have so many needs in our life, but at the end of the day, all we need is to be needed ♥

Wer denkt Australien ist der trockenste Kontinent liegt glaub ich falsch :D! Liebe Grüße aus dem stürmischen und verregneten Newcastle! Ich weiß nicht, ob es an mir liegt, dass letztes Jahr der schlechteste Sommer seit Jahrhunderten war und es jetzt schon seit drei Tagen ununterbrochen regnet, aber so langsamsam ist es echt mal genug. Ich muss doch noch braun werden, bevor ich in 4 Wochen zurück zu euch komme :)!

So viel dazu ... :D

Meine letzte Woche war ziemlich stressig, da wir am Wochenende in Sydney waren und dort von Samstag auf Sonntag bei Caseys bester Freundin übernachtet haben, Shane momentan nicht da ist, ich meinen Online-Test machen musste und unter der Woche noch mit Archie in Sydney war wegen eines Fotoshootings! 
Aber jetzt mal alles der Reihe nach...
Letzten Samstag sind wir zu Caseys Freundin gefahren, weil dort am nächsten Tag eine Babyparty anstand für ihr 6 Wochen altes Baby, Blaise :)
An dem Samstagabend haben wir dann noch alle fleißig gebastelt, gebacken &&&. 
Eigentlich wird die Party/ "Babyshower" immer veranstaltet bevor ein Baby geboren wird und dann kommen ganz viele Freundinnen und die Schwangere wird beschenkt, es gibt Cupcakes und es dreht sich einfach alles um Babys. Bei ihr hat das aber zeitlich alles irgendwie nicht geklappt, weil das um Weihnachten rum gewesen wäre.
Sonntag war dann jedenfalls die Party und ich glaube ich habe einen Zuckerschock erlitten von den ganzen leckeren Sachen :D! 
Anschließend ist Shane nach Adelaide geflogen, wo er für eine Woche arbeitet und wir sind zurück nach Hause gefahren.

Montag war ich dann mit den Kids in der Bücherei und im Park und der Dienstag sah eigentlich ähnlich aus. Also alles wie immer ;)! 
Allerdings musste ich abends immer noch einiges lernen, für den Online Test den ich bis Donnerstag machen musste...

Mittwoch war alles ein wenig stressiger, da Archie und ich nachmittags mit dem Zug nach Syndey gefahren sind für ein Fotoshooting am nächsten Tag. Vorher musste ich dann noch alles packen, war mit Olive im Park &&&. Nachdem wir Archie mittags aus der Preschool abgeholt haben, hat uns Caseys dad zum Bahnhof gebracht und wir sind dann ca. 2 Stunden mit dem Zug nach Hornsby gefahren, wo Caseys Freundin wohnt. Dort haben wir übernachtet, um am nächsten Morgen besser zum Shooting zu kommen. 
Ich habe mir zwar vorher so meine Gedanken gemacht und mich nicht so wohl gefühlt da übernachten zu müssen, aber im endefekt war er echt in Ordnung und die sind alle sowieso total lieb und unheimlich gastfreundlich :)! Donnerstagmorgen musste ich dann um 6 aufstehen, mich fertig machen, Archie fertig machen und dann wurden wir, ich total vollgepackt mit 2 Taschen, einer Tüte und einem Skateboard(welches Archie mit zum Shooting bringen sollte) zum Bahnhof gebracht.
Anschließend mussten wir noch ca. 45 Minuten laufen bis wir endlich und gerade pünktlich um 9:15 am Set erschienen sind! 
Das Fotoshooting ansich war für Schwimmsachen und richtig gut :)! Archie hatte mindestens 15 verschiedene Outfits und ich war ziemlich beeindruckt, weil ich außer ihm beim Umziehen zu helfen eigentlich nix machen musste :D! Er ist da voll in seinem Element, überhaupt nicht schüchtern und schon ziemlich professionell & das alles mit 4 Jahren ♥! 
Wenn ich dagegen andere Kinder sehe, die von ihren Eltern mit aller Kraft überredet werden müssen,vor die Kamera zu gehen, bin ich doch froh das mein kleiner Star so eine Freude daran hat :).

Es war zwar echt ein stressiger Tag und zurück nach Newcastle waren es insgesamt nochmal 4 Stunden und die Züge waren extrem voll, aber trotzdem bin ich froh das mit ihm gemacht zu haben, denn letztendlich war es ein schöner Tag :)! 
Total erschöpft und ohne Schuhe, da ich mir bereits Blasen gelaufen hatte, sind wir nachmittags Zuhause angekommen und ich durfte mich direkt an meine Unisachen setzten, sprich ein wenig lernen und im Anschluss den Test machen! 

Freitag war dafür ein absolut entspannter Tag! Ich habe ausgeschlafen, mein Buch gelesen, einen Film geguckt und hab keinen Fuß vor die Tür gesetzt :D.... weil es im Strömen geregnet hat draußen!

Das -> ist übrigens mein Zimmer ;)!

Das Wochenende ist nicht besonders spannend, da das Wetter sich nicht bessert und ich eigentlich nix machen kann und mich deshalb ziemlich langeweile, aber naja, nächstes Wochenende geht es nach Queensland :)! Hoffentlich haben wir dort wenigstens schönes Wetter.
